• Monitor access points and screen individuals, vehicles, and deliveries per policies and post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations professionally and notify appropriate personnel and emergency services.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities with timely reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Field Coverage in Homestead, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed05:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with applicable policies and post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities through clear and timely reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
