Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Miami, FL. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay-rate is $22.26 per hour. The schedule includes Wednesdays 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with a six-month commitment for the anchor site and potential to scale up hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 college credits OR Police or Corrections Academy certificates.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances with calm, problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter to deter issues.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors as required, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Maintain professional readiness and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
