• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally; document observations and notify relevant personnel.
• Prepare clear daily activity and incident reports and handoff communications per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Field Patrol in Fremont, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, research areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
