Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Readiness in San Francisco, CA, to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a government transportation site. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will perform access control, patrol duties, monitor security systems, and document incidents, while earning $27.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees while enforcing site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, transit facilities, parking areas, and public spaces.
• Monitor entrances, alarms, cameras, and other security systems; document observations and report issues to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear daily activity and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site policies.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Readiness in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, transit-related facilities, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; document observations and notify appropriate personnel of access concerns or equipment issues.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
