As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Credentials in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site‑specific policies; report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.


• Prepare accurate activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant security‑related information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.


• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
