Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while enforcing site access procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain access logs.
• Control access for vehicles and vendors per site requirements and report unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and communicate observations to site contacts.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Verification Desk in Shreveport, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $12.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial location, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control access for vehicles, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site requirements, including directing individuals to designated check-in areas and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
