Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time enhanced role at a healthcare location. The position offers a fixed schedule and the opportunity to earn via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program, with a pay rate of $16.95 per hour.

You will manage access control, monitor entry points, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols while delivering courteous customer service to employees, visitors, patients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Management

Pay Rate: $16.95 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.


• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access‑related logs in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
