Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Driver for Fernandina Beach, FL. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts across sites.

You’ll provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct access control, monitor entries, respond to incidents, and document activities. A security license/experience are preferred; full background checks and a drug screen apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Background check and drug screen are required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Driver in Fernandina Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
