Job summary

Allied Universal in Umatilla, FL is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Turnstile Control to provide reliable security at a food and beverage site. This role offers flexible hours and the potential to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You will follow a fixed shift with a six-month commitment and may augment earnings through our scheduling platform while supporting a safe, welcoming environment for staff and guests.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry records, and control the movement of personnel, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, parking areas, business spaces, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate security‑related logs, reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
