• Monitor and control access points; verify ID and authorization; issue visitor credentials; maintain records.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities to deter unauthorized activity and note security concerns.
• Document incidents and communicate findings to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Data Entry in Allentown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Technical Proficiency:

Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using a computer or tablet, specifically in the following areas:

Email Communication: Candidates should be able to send, receive, and manage emails effectively. This includes understanding how to attach documents, use CC/BCC fields, and respond to emails in a professional manner.

Online Applications: Candidates must be able to navigate online application systems, fill out forms accurately, and submit required documents electronically.

Virtual Interviews: Candidates should be comfortable using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) for virtual interviews, including managing audio and video settings.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production location by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and access‑control activities clearly and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
