Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Northampton, PA to provide reliable security and excellent customer service. The role features fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, helping you earn more while keeping a flexible schedule.

The position pays $18.03 per hour and requires access control, badge management, and comfortable use of computers or tablets.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for daily tasks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying visitor, contractor, and employee credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery records, and communicate access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, access exceptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Systems in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee badges and access rights within a corporate environment.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must exhibit a strong comfort level with using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes proficiency in basic software applications, email communication, and the ability to navigate various digital platforms effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess relevant customer service experience, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. This includes effective communication skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
