• Background check and drug screen are required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing site by carrying out security procedures and emergency response when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location and verify visitor/contractor authorization; maintain accurate visitor/incident/patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per site procedures; notify appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Greenville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and/or patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
