Allied Universal is seeking a part-time armed security officer in Greenville, SC to provide reliable, scheduled coverage with opportunities to pick extra shifts through our program. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with potential to earn more by taking additional assignments at other sites, up to 40 hours weekly when needed.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Access in Greenville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and report irregularities or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain required reports, activity logs, and documentation while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security‑related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
