Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas, yards, parking areas, dock doors, and perimeter.
• Deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity following procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Access in Ladson, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:30 PM - 03:00 AM
• Tue: 09:30 PM - 03:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct incoming traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity by observing site operations, reporting irregular conditions, and following Allied Universal and client reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
