Allied Universal in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time for a fixed weekend/weekday shift, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. This role focuses on campus safety, customer service, and adherence to site policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials, and direct visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Mobile Patrol Driver in Wayne, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.92 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
