Allied Universal in Manchester Township, NJ is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide unarmed security services on a fixed schedule with anchor shifts. The role offers flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay starts at $17.50 per hour with a fixed Friday shift 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM and potential to scale up hours to a full schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and agency representatives by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of landfill access points, roads, and perimeter boundaries to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, document entries and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Prepare activity logs and shift documentation for Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Manchester Township, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Friday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and agency representatives by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of landfill access points, roads, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials and authorization as directed by site procedures, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services when directed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
