Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor and manage access to facilities by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining logs, and directing authorized individuals.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Monitor entry points, gates, and access control systems; report malfunctioning equipment and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Access Control in Fontana, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun05:30 PM - 09:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access to manufacturing and industrial facilities by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site‑specific procedures.
• Monitor entry points, gates, and access control systems; report malfunctioning equipment, unauthorized access attempts, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
