Allied Universal in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide customer service, enforce access control, and respond to incidents within a logistics site. You will work a fixed shift and may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earnings and experience.

The pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with a schedule that includes a night shift and the opportunity to grow into a fuller security role over time.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check and drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors per site security procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points and control access for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and vehicles.
• Maintain logs for visitors, contractors, drivers, and vehicles; issue credentials.
• Respond calmly to incidents and report observations to site leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Santa Fe Springs, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and control access for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and vehicles.


• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; promptly report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security‑related experience.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.


• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
