Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Emergency Preparedness in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. You will provide security, customer service, and emergency response support at a government human services location, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires patrolling, access control, incident reporting, and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location, following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, parking areas, entrances and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications as required.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.99 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
