Job summary

Suffolk Regional OTB / Jake's 58 Casino Hotel in Islandia, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer with Emergency Medical Technician certification. The role focuses on patient assessment, rapid response, and ensuring safety and compliance within the facility.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License
• Must be able to obtain NYS Security Guard License

Responsibilities

• Performs direct illness/injury assessment and management, preparation for transport, transfer of information, and patient care
• Attends emergency medical requests as they arise, and renders assistance to ill or injured internal/external guests
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
• Continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
• Inspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards
• Completes and transfers patient care information and records per established procedures
• Completes all paperwork and reports required by all State and Federal regulations
• Patrols buildings and grounds of facility on foot and/or in security vehicle; examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure; controls the various entry/exit locations throughout controlled areas as assigned
• Patrols buildings and grounds of facility on foot and/or in a security vehicle; examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure; controls the various entry/exit locations throughout controlled areas
• Staffs' areas to assure compliance with state laws and facility regulations
• Directs visitors and vendors to appropriate locations
