Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Electronics Plant in West Columbia, SC. You will serve and safeguard clients across industries, conducting patrols and monitoring access with a strong customer-service focus.

The role is unarmed, full-time, with daytime shift hours and a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. You will contribute to a welcoming, secure environment and support security operations at the electronics plant location.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation and drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential checks, entry requirements, and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site-specific protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

What You'll Do

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
