Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Electronics Plant in West Columbia, SC. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service in a technology-focused environment.

The role requires 1+ years in security or equivalent experience, with a preference for X-Ray screening and badge access familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with credential checks and directions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate with leadership and client representatives.

As a Security Officer - Electronics Plant in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support security-related operations. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Mon: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Tue: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Wed: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential checks, entry requirements, and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site-specific protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
