Job summary

Allied Universal in Bay Minette, AL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Driver X Ray Screening. In this role you will monitor access, perform patrols, and support security operations while communicating clearly with staff and visitors.

The position offers a flexible weekend schedule (Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM) with a pay rate of $16.76 per hour. Candidates should have at least two years security experience, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and be prepared

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, and unusual activity to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
