Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol Driver with an active DoD Secret clearance for Portsmouth, RI. You will patrol, deter incidents, verify credentials, and provide superior customer service on an aerospace/defense site.

This full-time role requires a valid drivers license, clearance, background check, and drug screening. Pay is $22.78/hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Valid drivers license in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Drivers license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response at an aerospace/defense site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report concerns.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, vehicles, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site requirements.
• Observe and report hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions involving equipment and facilities.

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site-specific requirements, escalating unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious activity.
• Observe and report hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions involving sensitive facilities, equipment, and materials.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
