Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - DoD Facility in San Antonio, TX. This part-time, unarmed security position involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing excellent customer service at an aerospace/defense location.

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions; Guard Card preferred; applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening in line with federal, state, and local laws. Schedule is DayTime Mon-Fri with specified hours.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and report hazards.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence, observing site conditions, and reporting unusual activity or potential hazards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
