Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at our Distribution Facility in Commerce City, CO. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, verify credentials, and support loss prevention while maintaining a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/entry records.
• Control inbound and outbound access for employees, vendors, drivers, trailers, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control inbound and outbound access for employees, vendors, drivers, trailers, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
