Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a delivery site in Boston, MA. Shifts run 5 PM–11 PM Monday through Saturday, with paid orientation and training.

Starting pay is $23.31 per hour and the role involves unarmed patrols, customer service, and access control at a logistics site in East Boston. This position requires at least 18 years old for unarmed work, a high school diploma or equivalent, and masking of background checks and drug screening as per laws.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entry and exit points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle, visitor, and employee access in accordance with site‑specific requirements, documenting observations and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete required incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
