Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Security Officer to provide physical security across our New Jersey facilities. You will enforce safety policies, monitor cameras, control visitor access, and respond to incidents to protect employees, guests and assets. The role supports a 1st shift (Sun-Wed, 7 am–5 pm) with competitive hourly pay from $16.50 to $18.00, and benefits including health insurance, 401k, and paid holidays. Equal opportunity employer.

Experience in access control and emergency response preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Punctual, reliable and flexible with hours.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify identities of employees, customers and visitors entering the facility.
• Monitor interior and exterior cameras and address policy infractions or emergencies.
• Control access and issue visitor badges; deny entry to non-qualified individuals.
• Log all entries using PeopleTracker system.
• Conduct security checks and patrol interior and exterior per shift.
• Monitor entry access and fire alarms; respond to incidents.
• Notify authorities in emergencies.
• Act as first responder in medical emergencies.
• Handle shipping/receiving duties using defined processes.
• Respond to tickets and emails in the security department.
• Keep security offices, equipment and loading docks clean and organized.
• Seek guidance from Security Supervisor as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
