Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Security Officer to provide a physical layer of security at all locations. You will verify identities, monitor cameras, control visitor access, log entries, and perform security checks.

You will respond to alarms, emergencies and support shipping/receiving tasks while maintaining a safe environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, SORA license preferred, strong communication and customer service skills, reliability, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be punctual, reliable, flexible and willing to work additional hours when necessary to meet the demands of the department.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify identities of employees, customers and visitors entering/exiting the facility.
• Monitor interior and exterior cameras and address policy infractions or emergencies.
• Control access for visitors and issue temporary badges.
• Maintain log of all entryes using PeopleTracker system.
• Conduct regular security checks of building interior and exterior.
• Monitor entry and fire alarm systems and respond to alarms.
• Notify local authorities in emergencies.
• Serve as first responder in medical emergencies.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Respond to tickets, cases and emails within security.
• Keep security offices and loading docks clean and organized.
• Seek guidance from Security Supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
