Securitas, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time shift in Newark, NJ. The position runs 7:00am to 1:00pm with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, on a union site.

The role focuses on customer service, vigilance, and providing a strong security presence to protect facilities and personnel. Responsibilities include patrolling, conflict resolution, reporting safety issues, and interacting with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Standard computer skills.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals professionally.
• Must conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Attention to detail and vigilance required.
• NJ SORA license or ability to obtain one, valid driver's license, and open availability.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Secure entrances and patrol inside/outside the client’s premises.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions.
• Report suspicious activity clearly and quickly.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
