Cologix, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is hiring a Security Officer for the 1st shift (Sunday to Wednesday) to provide a physical layer of security at its facilities. The role involves verifying identities, monitoring cameras, controlling access, and logging visitor activity on site.

The position requires patrolling interiors and exteriors, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with local authorities when needed.

Experience applying security policies and procedures.

Strong logging and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Verifies the identities of employees, customers and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
Monitors interior and exterior cameras and addresses policy infractions or emergencies.
Controls access for visitors and provides temporary badges as needed.
Keeps accurate visitor/vendor logs using the PeopleTracker system.
Conducts regular security checks of the building and grounds.
Monitors alarms and notifies local authorities in emergencies.
Acts as first responder for medical emergencies.
Performs shipping and receiving duties per defined process.
Responds to tickets, cases and emails within the security department.
Ensures security offices and loading docks are clean and organized.
Seeks guidance from Security Supervisor when help is needed.
