Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Incident Response) in Hazleton, PA. You will contribute by providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while enforcing site policies and responding to emergencies.

As a member of Allied Universal’s healthcare security team, you will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment requirements.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional healthcare environment.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
