Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Security Officer to provide a physical layer of security at a Cologix facility in the United States. You will verify identities, monitor cameras, control visitor access, and maintain logs using the PeopleTracker system.

You will conduct security checks, respond to alarms, assist in emergencies, and handle shipping/receiving duties while upholding ISMS and EMS guidelines. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ year related experience or training.
• SORA license preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be punctual, reliable, flexible and willing to work additional hours when necessary.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies the identities of employees, customers and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
• Monitors interior and exterior cameras and addresses policy infractions or emergencies.
• Controls visitor access and issues temporary badges.
• Keeps a log of visitors/vendors using the PeopleTracker system.
• Performs security checks and patrols the building exterior and interior.
• Monitors alarms and responds to fire and security systems.
• Notifies authorities in emergencies and acts as first responder if needed.
• Performs shipping and receiving duties per defined process.
• Responds to tickets, cases and emails in the security department.
• Ensures security offices, equipment and loading docks are organized.
• Seeks guidance from Security Supervisor as needed.
