Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in San Marcos, TX to provide exceptional customer-facing security in a luxury retail setting. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers and staff.

Typical schedule is Monday to Thursday from 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM. Pay rate is $20.17 per hour with opportunities for training and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff by following procedures and policies and handling emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in luxury retail areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances and observe visitors, employees, and deliveries in a high-end retail environment.
• Document incidents and share information with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a luxury retail setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. Pay Rate: $20.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Tue: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Thur: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout luxury retail sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity while maintaining a professional presence consistent with a high-end retail environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
