Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Full Time Security Officer in Holland, MI to support a food and beverage production site. You will perform access-control procedures, verify credentials, and conduct patrols on a consistent night schedule (Mon–Fri, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM).

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and ensuring site rules are followed. CPR preferred; background check and drug screen required by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, where appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the site by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, employee entrances, visitor areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support site quality and facility-entry requirements by communicating applicable rules to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
