Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Seadrift, TX to safeguard employees and visitors at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will manage entry control, verify credentials, and monitor access while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time, hourly role pays $15.00 per hour and uses company-provided tools and systems.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized access.
• Support compliance with site entry requirements, including PPE and restricted-area protocols, while documenting security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, use computer or tablet systems, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents. • Tue 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Wed 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Fri 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Support compliance with site entry requirements, including required personal protective equipment and restricted-area protocols, while documenting security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
