As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Support compliance with site entry requirements, including required personal protective equipment and restricted-area protocols, while documenting security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
