Job summary

Allied Universal, Houston, TX, is seeking a Security Officer Credential Intake to support chemical/petrochemical sites. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access points, and assist visitors and employees.

Position Type: Full Time with a schedule Monday–Friday, 06:00 AM–02:00 PM, at a rate of $15.00 per hour. You’ll work in a dynamic, collaborative environment that values safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized entry or other security-related concerns.
• Communicate access-related issues, incidents, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
