As a Security Officer Construction Supply Facility Control Access in Bethpage, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, issuing authorized access materials, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the facility, maintain accurate access‑related logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
