Allied Universal in Brentwood, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a financial institution site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts plus opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.85 per hour with a schedule that includes Fridays 08:30 AM to 06:00 PM, and potential for growth into a full-time schedule. This position emphasizes customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift logs per Allied Universal requirements.

As a Security Officer Financial Institution Control Access in Brentwood, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 08:30 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and access-control issues.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
