Responsibilities

• Monitor entry/exit points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and document incidents.
• Observe workplace conditions for security-related concerns and report hazards or equipment issues.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required access records, and direct individuals in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and complete required incident documentation.
• Observe workplace conditions for security‑related concerns, report hazards or equipment issues to designated personnel, and support orderly operations during shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
