Job summary

Allied Universal in Westwood, NJ seeks a Security Officer for Clinical Alarm Response Patrol in a healthcare environment. You will monitor and patrol hospital areas, deter incidents, assist patients, visitors and staff with a professional, courteous approach.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing excellent customer service, and documenting activities. Requires minimum security experience and HS diploma, with CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 2 years in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Clinical Alarm Response Patrol in Westwood, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical facility disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and noteworthy observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.Possess CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
