Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Clearance Required Patrol Driver in Fort Wayne, IN. This full-time role requires patrolling aerospace/defense locations, providing customer service, and maintaining a secure environment during assigned shifts.

Will require an active DoD Secret Clearance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a schedule including day and night shifts. A background check and drug screen are part of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and observe for irregular or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to site protocols.
• Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and/or visitors as necessary to support a secure environment.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Remain alert to changing conditions within the location and adapt duties accordingly to support security-related operations.

Job Description

As a Security Officer – Clearance Required Patrol Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security‑related incidents and responding to situations as needed. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide outstanding customer service, and uphold our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license as you help maintain a secure environment for all personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
