Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer with DoD Secret clearance for our Plano, TX aerospace/defense location. This full-time role involves unarmed patrols, exceptional customer service, and strict adherence to site procedures to deter incidents.

You will monitor access, document observations, and respond calmly to incidents. A DoD clearance is required; CPR/First Aid preferred, with background checks and drug screening part of the process.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and support visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
