Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Huntington, NY to monitor and safeguard government and public areas. You will provide customer service, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns per site procedures.

Responsibilities include patrolling, controlling access, documenting incidents, and directing visitors as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a service-oriented approach within a dynamic workplace.

Qualificações

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations calmly and professionally, contacting appropriate site personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public service areas, offices, parking areas, and exterior perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization as directed, and document activity and incidents.
• Support an orderly environment during high-volume public interactions, directing visitors and reporting disruptive behavior per site policy.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government motor vehicle services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public service areas, offices, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support an orderly environment during high-volume public interactions, including directing visitors to appropriate areas and reporting disruptive behavior in accordance with site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
