Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas; report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and direct guests to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document activities per site procedures.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Unauthorized Entry Deterrence in Forest Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, assisting with adherence to site guidelines and directing guests to appropriate areas when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
