Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Unauthorized Entry Deterrence in Forest Park, IL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests.

You will provide customer service, observe access points, respond to incidents, complete daily activity reports, and coordinate with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, assisting with adherence to site guidelines and directing guests to appropriate areas when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
