Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a chemical plant in Henry, IL. The full-time position pays $18.59 per hour and focuses on access control, patrolling, and maintaining a secure environment across client sites.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and compliance with post orders and safety directives. Pre-employment screening and driver certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct lengthy foot patrols of the property during various weather conditions.
• Conduct truck gate access control.
• Data entry.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
