Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a financial institution by following site procedures.
• Monitor front desk access, greet visitors, verify authorization, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Observe lobby activity, report unusual conditions, deter unauthorized access.
• Complete required reports and documentation and communicate with staff and responders.

As a Security Officer - Campus Surveillance in Chandler, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor access at the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify authorization as required, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Observe activity in the lobby and adjacent entry areas, report unusual conditions or concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with bank personnel, customers, and emergency responders, and complete required reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
