Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to operate on weekends at a Chandler, AZ site. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible presence to deter issues.

In this role, you’ll provide professional customer service to tenants and visitors, handle routine security tasks, and use technology to document activity. Prior security experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, two years of security-related experience are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening where legally required.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with building occupants and visitors, provide directions and assistance, and report maintenance, access, or security-related issues to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
