The role is full time with a daytime/overnight schedule, offering an hourly pay rate of $18.60. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and pass background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements per state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of an education-focused location by greeting students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors; verifying access per site procedures; directing guests appropriately.
• Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, access control systems, alarms, and other security-related equipment from a front-desk post; report irregularities.
• Carry out site-specific security policies including visitor management, credential verification, package coordination, and access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other events calmly; notify leadership and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation with clear communication.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Front Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an education location, you will create a welcoming, professional first impression while monitoring access, greeting visitors, and supporting security-related procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, helping maintain an organized environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $18.60 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of an education-focused location by greeting students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors; verifying access in accordance with site-specific procedures; and directing guests appropriately.
• Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, access control systems, alarms, and other security-related equipment from a stationary front-desk post; report irregularities and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Carry out site-specific security-related policies and procedures, including visitor management, credential verification, package and delivery coordination, and communication of building access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and provide clear, professional communication to support a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
